NEW ROCHELLE, NY (August 3, 2024) — It should come as no surprise that Lieutenant Sean Kane has caused a legal and community relations nightmare for the New Rochelle Police Department, the City of New Rochelle, and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Like Michael Vaccaro, Alec McKenna, David Rodriguez before him, Kane has one of the worst disciplinary records in the department which now stands to get much worse following an Internal Affairs determination that he tampered with evidence in a drug case, referred the matter to the DA, causing both agencies agreeing to drop charges against the victim of Kane’s conduct.
