Related Criminal Investigation Material: Stanley Bernstein Emails

DUBLIN, IRELAND (June 15, 2025) — As the criminal investigation by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office has moved into the subpoena phase (really meaning that targets of the investigation are now on notice) I figure I may as well drop records that are relevant but not been given their own coverage.

As part of my ongoing efforts to access public records, I submitted a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request last month to obtain emails over the past 5 years involving Stanley Bernstein, a known contact for Young Israel of New Rochelle, who has had significant interactions with city officials. Upon submitting my request, the city clerk’s office promptly informed me that no such emails existed. This claim struck me as implausible, if not outright false.
