DUBLIN, IRELAND (July 12, 2025) — My Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request in May led to the release this week of 1,621 pages of emails to/from Stanley Bernstein. The records cover the period to 2020 to 2025. I detailed the struggle to get these records in Part XXXI.

While 1,621 may seem like a lot, especially when you read line by line as I did — and apparently so did Stanley Bernstein based on a complaint made to City Hall that the file, now updated, contained 7 characters worth of unredacted personal information buried within the 400,000+ characters in the file (a mobile phone number) there are many records missing such as attachments referenced in the emails but not included, emails to/from city official using their personal email accounts, in particular Noam Bramson, and email threads I expect exist on the City’s central email server but appear to have been improperly withheld (e.g., emails with the Mayor and her office about his role in subverting my ethics complaint against Yadira, emails about Yadira appointing Bernstein’s daughter, Michelle Bernstein, to the New Rochelle City Court and other emails conspicuously absent from the Bernstein file).
If I had subpoena power I would be seeking to gain access to Noam Bramson’s personal optonline email account.
