DUBLIN, IRELAND (June 8, 2025) — WOW! This has been a busy week, and the New Rochelle Council Meeting on Tuesday is a chock-a-block with more busy-ness. I broke the news that NRPD Commissioner Robert Gazzola was leaving at the end of the month, that the New York State DEC was disputing the Harrison PD account of a bear shooting (the DA told me they have opened an inquiry, I waiting to hear back on whether the DEC is opening an inquiry too). I got my lawsuit against Dawn and Adam’s lawyer moving forward. And I saw three concerts and the semi-finals of the URC Rugby Championship.
I always hope but never say to readers to read the newsletter line-by-line but really you should, there is that much.
For those interested in New Rochelle start here: New Rochelle City Council COW: June 10, 2025. The agenda for the new Rochelle City Council meeting next Tuesday is about 165 pages and is full of news and information that I thought deserved their own stories. Within the article outlining the agenda you’ll see links to the other stories that came out of reading that agenda.
One in particular that galled me was giving more money to Lachonne Williams a convicted felon with a history of criminal fraud, a lifetime of grifting off the system, who just last year misappropriated tens of thousands of dollars from a hip-hop concert. All of this funded by taxpayers. In any honest government she would be banned from doing business with the city but in New Rochelle she is feted like a hero.
As I mentioned last week, I paid the $405 fee to the clerk and got a docket number for my copyright infringement lawsuit against Lalit K. Loomba and The Quinn Law Firm in the U.S. Southern District of New York in White Plains. That allowed me to get a summons signed by the court which allowed me to hire process server on Friday; he will serve both Loomba and The Quinn Law Firm sometime next week.
On a happier note it was quite week for sports and entertainment here in Dublin, starting with The Swell Season (Glen Hansard, Markéta Irglová), for those remember the film Once which one an Academy award for best song from these two, then over to my favorite venue in Dublin, Vicar Street, to see Bonnie Raitt. Saturday was a doubleheader with the semifinals of the URC rugby between Leinster and Glasgow at the Aviva and then an evening over at 3Arena to see The Waterboys (3 is a mobile phone company here). Leinster won so they’ll be playing in the finals at Croke Park next weekend. Whew!

I finally got around to setting up a table of contents with all the links to all The Thimblerig Series so from now on in this newsletter will just link to the table of contents if you want to see any particular article click that then go look at a particular article.
New Rochelle Thimblerig Table of Contents
I was motivated by writing two more Thimblerig stories: Part XXVII (Lachonne Williams) and Part XXVIII (FOIL request seeking student tax forms and paychecks issued by the Youth Bureau for KCC events).
I feel like the summaries are taking up too much space and readers may not find them helpful so I am putting them on pause. Thoughts? Post a comment.
