OSC: New Rochelle Ethics Board Failed Its Oversight Duties

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 30, 2025) — A state audit revealed significant lapses in the City of New Rochelle’s ethics oversight, with the Board of Ethics failing to ensure compliance with financial disclosure requirements and neglecting to review the city’s code of ethics or submit required annual reports.

I do not recall if I previously linked to this report or otherwise shared it with readers, but given the current circumstances with the ethics board, I thought it might be timely to remind readers that the ethics board does not have a good history and that’s not just my experience.
