18th green at Royal Portrush.

PORTRUSH, NORTH OF IRELAND (July 13, 2025) — I am working all week as Practice Ground Assistant at The Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club, at the large green quadrilateral shape in the center of the course map. I just arrived today. Most of the players will show up tomorrow but today Shane Lowry, Keegan Bradley, and Darren Clarke were among those with me on the chipping green — my first assignment.

I am working 4-5 hours each afternoon. Tournament play does not begin until Thursday so I may be able to continue my reporting on Stanley Bernstein, the Entitled Prince of Young Israel of New Rochelle, the Fixer for YINR.

I had a big week. My reporting on the chicanery involving the “Taste of…” events in New Rochelle led to my breaking the news that the City had cancelled The Taste of Union Avenue: New Rochelle Cancels Taste of Union Avenue Over Fears of ICE Enforcement Operations.

I continue to report out the Jerrel Garris story:New York Attorney General Release Additional Jerrel Garris Case Records.

I have begun a deep dive into Stanley Bernstein here, here, and here — with more to follow. The last one is about a tone deaf proposal for New Rochelle police to conduct car stops then surprise people with cops giving them $100 not a ticket in the wake of the death of Kamal Flowers following a car stop.
