New Rochelle Flag Policy History 2024-25

DUBLIN, IRELAND (February 20, 2025) — Before getting into the weeping and gnashing of teeth over the Israeli flag at last week’s New Rochelle City Council meeting, I want to provide the full context, a review of the dumbest council ever struggling for a year to sort out a a simple flag policy under the Mayor Yadira Ramos regime.

This all began one year ago when I ran a series of stories exposing efforts by Yadira Ramos, David Peters, and Shane Osinloye — what can fairly be described as the the HAMAS-faction of the City Council — to get rid of the Israeli flag without being seen to do so. It continued into the spring when a new poorly-constructed law was adopted (in need of no less than 5 amendments to fix it). It continued right up until this week. All of it is really just one issue — promoting Palestine and dumping on Israel.
