New Rochelle Mayor Teases App to Report City Issues During SOTC

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (May 9, 2025) —When Mayor Yadira Ramos delivered her second annual State of the City Address at New Roc City on Thursday, May 8, she announced a new mobile app that will let residents report non-emergency issues like potholes and graffiti by snapping a photo and geolocating the concern for a swift city response.

“Soon, we’ll launch a new app empowering residents to report non-emergency issues—like potholes or graffiti—by simply taking a photo and geolocating the concern so our team can respond quickly,” Ramos said.

I’ve been pushing for this kind of technology since 2011. Back in 2010, I partnered with SeeClickFix.com and embedded their widget on my website, New Rochelle’s Talk of the Sound, from January 2010 to 2022. Hundreds of reports poured in—potholes, noise complaints, tree problems, damaged street signs, broken traffic lights, you name it.
