Looks like this is it... Talk of the Sound will soon hit 15 million page views all-time!

NOTE: A good deal of my reporting over the past week was contained in my court reporter’s notebook and FOIL Wars newsletters (linked below) so if you have not read them now would be a good time — updates on the judge’s decision in the Rocah v. Costa case, the Percell Ross (taxi driver murder guy), the Vaccaro termination hearing, more foolishness by NRPD Captain George Rosenbergen, and tracking Michael Thunderhorse to Arizona. You will also want to read below my comments on crime data for New Rochelle

Interesting Links and Pix from the past week hand-curated by Robert Cox for the enjoyment and edification of the Sound Shore Community.

SpotCrime Map of New Rochelle 10/9/22

The SpotCrime map is produced here each week based on a long-standing partnership between Talk of the Sound and SpotCrime to track police incident report data provided by the New Rochelle Police Department. SpotCrime offers free alerts based on your neighborhood.

The crime map for New Rochelle shows a consistent pattern — that 90%+ of police incidents occur south of Eastchester Road and most incidents involve theft and assault. In the most recent week that figure was 100% — no reports of crime at all in the North End.

The most dangerous area in New Rochelle is the downtown area between West Junction and East Junction from Huguenot Street to Main Street, and jutting out along North Avenue to the train station. This is the area of the densest concentration of the development of high-rise apartment buildings in New Rochelle.
